Reading is at the heart of everything we do at Lugwardine Primary Academy, and thanks to the fundraising efforts of our fantastic PTFA and the generous support of The Lugwardine Charity, we have further enhanced our reading provision from Reception to Year 6.

Children across the school are already benefiting from new phonics resources and high-quality texts, creating a real buzz of excitement in classrooms. We are incredibly grateful to both organisations for helping us enrich learning and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

This afternoon, it was wonderful to see our oldest and youngest children sharing books together. Our weekly Year 6 reading sessions support younger children on their reading journey while helping older pupils develop confidence, independence and responsibility. It was a joy to see the enthusiasm and love of reading shared by all involved.
